Guapo Marlz (also known in the business world as Mali Gunter) is a UK rapper, producer, and entrepreneur building a reputation for blending raw UK Rap with drill, emo rock and gritty underground production. Rooted in the realities of East London, his sound combines sharp lyricism, distorted melodies, and atmospheric production shaped by themes of ambition, struggle, resilience, and self-expression.
Since emerging in 2018, Guapo Marlz made a name for himself through Bristol’s underground music culture as a DJ, promoter, and events organiser — running live shows, nightlife events, and underground rap showcases while independently developing his sound and creative identity. That foundation within underground culture helped shape both his artistry and entrepreneurial vision.
Alongside recording, producing, and mixing records for underground artists, he has performed DJ sets across the UK at venues including O2 Academy Bristol, Lakota, Phonox, and Prince of Wales.
Guapo Marlz's adventures in Bristol led to the founding of Trapanomics (trapanomics.com), an live entertianment platform currently operating at a projected £1bn pre-seed valuation, with ambitions to scale toward a projected £2bn valuation within five years. Built from underground music culture, nightlife, and independent creativity, Trapanomics is focused on becoming the premier live entertainment platform in the urban music industry, through integrating sports, technology and UK Rap.
Beyond music, he is also the founder of Guapo (guapovision.com), an Ed-Tech platform dedicated to revolutionising social mobility through innovative apprenticeship and talent solutions. Driven by the same commitment to empowering communities reflected in his artistry, Guapo is helping address critical skills gaps across the UK's technology workforce, strengthening talent pipelines in strategic industries and supporting the development of homegrown talent. Guapo is currently operating at a £5.6bn pre-seed valuation and is targeting a £11.2bn+ valuation within the next five years.
